MyLeah Wiedmann is an Associate Attorney at Gilbert Legal Group, LLC, where she practices focuses on Family Law (including dissolution of marriage, child custody, child support, prenuptial agreements, adoptions), Estate Planning, Probate, and Guardianships/Conservatorships. MyLeah always has been passionate about helping people, especially children. she graduated from the University of Minnesota, with a major in Youth Studies.
MyLeah began her legal career in 2011 as a legal assistant at a family law firm. Working her way up to litigation paralegal at various law firms, she took her legal career to the next level by enrolling in William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law) in Saint Paul. While in law school, she worked as a court clerk for Wright and Ramsey County District Courts, held an externship at the ACLU, and interned at the Department of Homeland Security – Office of Chief Counsel.
MyLeah has been a practicing attorney since 2017. She understands that each client has different legal needs and appreciates every opportunity to address client’s questions and concerns so that they become informed, comfortable, and ready to choose the best path forward. She prides herself on being approachable, responsive, and compassionate, and she strives to always be a resource to clients.
Prior to joining Gilbert Legal Group, LLC MyLeah was an attorney at Lutter, Gilbert & Kvas, LLC (“LGK”), during which time she became skilled at handling a variety of complex cases. In assisting clients to navigate life’s unexpected challenges and achieve new goals, she saw how critically important it is for an attorney to connect with and understand the unique needs of each individual client and their family members. While practicing at LGK she honed her ability to provide clients with thoughtful, comprehensive, efficient, and accurate assistance.
Prior to joining LGK MyLeah worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Awsumb in Ramsey County District Court. While working for the court she handled a variety of cases with complex substantive law and procedural issues and gained intense research and writing experience. Most importantly, her clerkship gave her an “insider’s view” of legal advocacy from a judge’s point of view.
